Arkansas State University celebrated its centennial anniversary in 2009. The university's international student population comprises 7.5%, representing over 68 countries. Around 90% of students receive financial aid. ASU students come from nearly every U.S. state and about 70 countries, having attended a wide variety of secondary schools. They include science fair winners, high school newspaper editors, athletes, actors, anime enthusiasts, musicians, class clowns, artists, volunteers, dreamers, and student leaders. At ASU, students unite to form a dynamic, diverse community where meaningful discussions foster lasting friendships. For master's programs in Computer Science, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, the GRE is required.
