Bryan College of Health Sciences

Bryan College of Health Sciences, located in Lincoln, Nebraska, offers undergraduate degrees in nursing, sonography, biomedical sciences, healthcare studies and completion options. Our graduate offerings include the Master of Science in Nursing with tracks in Leadership and Education, doctoral degrees in nurse anesthesia (DNAP) and education (Ed.D), along with certificate options for both undergraduate and graduate students. The College also offers Basic Nursing Assistant, phlebotomy and courses for college credit for high school students.

In 1922, William Jennings Bryan gave his home, Fairview, and surrounding land to the Nebraska Conference of the United Methodist Church for the purpose of establishing a new hospital in Lincoln. From this gift and others, a dream became a reality when the 60-bed Bryan Memorial Hospital opened on June 6, 1926. When Bryan School of Nursing opened the same year with 37 students, Fairview became the student dormitory. 

Bryan Medical Center and the School of Nursing built upon the strengths of both organizations to establish Bryan College of Health Sciences, a partnership that provides significant clinical experience to its students. 

The Mission of Bryan College of Health Sciences is to provide education in the health professions emphasizing clinical and academic excellence through collaboration with Bryan Health and the health care community.
