Chestnut Hill College

Chestnut Hill College is a coeducational Roman Catholic college in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. The college was founded in 1924, as a women's college, by the Sisters of St. Joseph. It was originally named Mount Saint Joseph College.

The Mission of Chestnut Hill College is to provide students with holistic education in an inclusive Catholic community marked by academic excellence, shared responsibility, personal and professional growth, service to one another and to the global community, and concern for the earth.

Chestnut Hill College is a close-knit community offering personalized one-on-one contact between faculty and students. The college is growing: two new buildings have been constructed in the past nine years, land has recently been acquired that almost doubles our campus size, and two buildings on the new property have been extensively renovated for use by the college community.
