Eastern Michigan University

Eastern Michigan University is a public institution founded in 1849, with a total undergraduate enrollment of 16,997 students. Located in the city of Ypsilanti, approximately 40 miles west of Detroit, the campus spans 460 acres and follows a semester-based academic calendar. In the 2019 edition of Best Colleges, Eastern Michigan University is ranked in the National Universities, Tier 2 category.
