The Protestant University of Ludwigsburg is a state-recognized confessional university for social work, diaconia and religious education based in Ludwigsburg and a field office on the campus Reutlingen. The bearer is the Evangelical Church in Württemberg. Rector is since October 1, 2007, Norbert Collmar.
Around 30 professors and around 70 lecturers stand for innovative research-oriented teaching. In addition to lectures are many different seminars and other events offered, which vary from smaller to larger learning groups. In 2016, numerous jobs were created for the development of e-learning models. This allows for individual learning and academic achievement, both on campus and at home.
The Protestant profile and the openness to people with other religions, orientations and world views determine the work. Thus questions of inclusion and diversity are cross-sectional tasks of all university members. This is deepened in working groups and various additional offers designed for diversity at the EH. These include, for example, Unlimited and Colorful for Life.
