Evangelische Hochschule Rheinland-Westfalen-Lippe

The Protestant University of Rhineland-Westphalia-Lippe is the largest Protestant university in Germany with around 2,000 students. The state-approved Fachhochschule is supported by the Protestant regional churches in the Rhineland, Westphalia and Lippe.

The Protestant University RWL is oriented in teaching, further education and research on issues and tasks of social and health care, diaconia and church education work.

The bachelor programs " Social Work ", " Community Education and Diakonia ", " Elementary Education " (basic and extra-occupational), " Nursing Science " and " Special Education" are offered. For the winter semester 2013, EvH RWL offers a BA course " Health and Care Management ". This program qualifies for leadership roles in health and care services and facilities. Furthermore, the master's programs " Social Inclusion: Health and Education " and "Management in Social and Diaconal Organizations" belong to the courses of study.

In application-oriented research at EvH, the focus is on the following: "Child, youth and family support", "Social Inclusion", "Human rights in the health and social care professions" and "Aging".

The students of the Protestant University RWL are represented by a general student committee (Asta) , which currently has 15 members, a student parliament (StuPa) with 25 members as well as the student councils of the faculties "social work, education and diaconia" and "curative education and care" , The members are elected by the students of the EvH
