The Fachhochschule Bielefeld (short FH Bielefeld, English Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences ), with 10,228 students, 270 professors and teachers for special assignments and approximately 506 employees, the largest public college in East Westphalia-Lippe. The FH Bielefeld is located in Bielefeld. Further locations are in Minden and Gütersloh. The study program comprises 60 study programs (37 Bachelor's and 21 Master's programs as well as two certificate programs), spread over five subject areas. President has been Ingeborg Schramm-Wölk since September 2015.
The goal of the research area Intelligent Technical Energy Systems (ITES) is the investigation and solution of interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary questions of system integration as well as the economic and ecological optimization as well as the social integration of decentralized energy systems.
