The University of Applied Sciences (FHDW) is a private, state-approved college with campuses in Paderborn and Bergisch Gladbach, Bielefeld, Marburg, Mettmann and has its roots in 1972 by the computer pioneer Heinz Nixdorf founded training centre for information processing professions. The Fachhochschule für Wirtschaft in Hanover belongs to the same company.
The FHDW offers dual and extra-occupational Bachelor and Master programs in the fields of business administration and applied computer science.
The dual Bachelor degree program at FHDW is characterized by a quarterly change between university and partner companies. The regular change of university and practical phases should enable the timely application of what has been learned in company practice.
