The University of Applied Sciences Erfurt is one of three universities in the Thuringian capital Erfurt. Founded in October 1991, it had 4,093 students for the winter semester 2017/2018.
Since the foundation of the University of Applied Sciences, there have been cooperations with various companies and institutions in the region, as well as with municipal institutions.
The focus for research achievements of the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt is on application-oriented research and service, on the combination of theory and practice. The aim is to provide research and development potential, especially for small and medium-sized companies in the region, which they can not master on their own.
