Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine (Geisinger Commonwealth) offers a community-based model of undergraduate medical education with campuses in Scranton, Danville, Sayre and Wilkes-Barre. The school’s innovative Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree curriculum, focused on caring for people in the context of their lives and their community, attracts the next generation of physicians and scientists from within its region, as well as from across Pennsylvania and the nation. In addition to the MD program, Geisinger Commonwealth offers a Master of Biomedical Sciences in both Scranton and Doylestown and a Professional Science Master's in Doylestown. The school also has more than 440 trainees in 24 graduate medical education programs and offers 19 accredited fellowships from addiction medicine to vascular surgery.
