Hochschule Bremerhaven

The Bremerhaven University is founded in 1975 State University in Bremerhaven. At present, 3091 students from 66 nations are studying in the 22 technical, scientific and economics Bachelor and Master programs of the "Hochschule am Meer".

Two specialist areas cover the fields of energy and marine technology, life science, logistics and services, and ICT and automation. The offer ranges from biotechnology, maritime technologies and ship operation technology to cruise management, process engineering, energy technology and medical technology to digital media production and business informatics. About 150 staff members in teaching and administration assist the students.

• The library of the university in the house S, with specialized literature of the study courses, belongs to the national and university library Bremen.
• The refectory and cafeteria.
• The central operating unit computer supply (ZBRV) in the house Z and S supports all departments as well as students of the remote university in Hagen.
• The General Student Committee (AStA) with the AStA Secretariat (An der Karlstadt 8), the chairman and the speaker represents the interests of the students.
• The alumni (alumni@hs-bremerhaven.de) is a network for the benefit of alumni, students and the university, consisting of alumni associations as well as groups of sponsors and friends.
• The Association for the Promotion of the University of Bremerhaven was founded in 1978 by Wilhelm Kröncke together with 16 other citizens of Bremerhaven.
