Hochschule Darmstadt

The Hochschule Darmstadt, University of Applied Sciences (h_da) is August 1, 1971, as the Fachhochschule Darmstadt founded a university in Darmstadt. It is one of the largest practice-oriented state universities in Hesse and among the ten largest universities of applied sciences / Universities of Applied Sciences in Germany. She holds the PhD in the field of "Applied Computer Science"  since November 2017 and in the field of "Sustainability Sciences " since March 2019.

Unique is the degree program "Optotechnology and Image Processing", which started in 1997 as a diploma course and is now offered as a bachelor's and master's degree.

The diploma program "Information Law" is unique in Germany. It focuses on legal issues relating to the Internet and interlinks law, technology and economics.

Also unique in the German-speaking world is the bachelor's degree in online communication (B.Sc.), which has been offered since 2014 and focuses on online marketing, public relations and corporate learning.

English-language study programs are the four-semester "Joint International Master Informatik" offered by Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences together with American and Australian universities, and the master's degree program in "Electrical Engineering".
