The College of the Savings Banks Finance Group - University of Applied Sciences - Bonn (also called Sparkassenhochschule ) is a private, state-approved university based in Bonn.
The University of the Savings Banks Finance Group was established on July 3, 2003, by the German Savings Banks and Giro Association as a limited liability company based in Bonn. For the winter semester 2003/04, the university started the study business.
The study and training accompanying courses are aimed at performance-oriented junior staff in the financial sector, primarily from the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe. There are currently four bachelor programs and three master programs available. All courses offered to carry the quality seal of the Accreditation Council
As part of the institutional accreditation, the Science Council of the University of the Savings Banks Finance Group awarded accreditation in 2012 for a period of five years with a ten-year extension option. After fulfilment of the requirements, the university is institutionally accredited until the beginning of 2022. In its positive opinion, the Wissenschaftsrat emphasized that the university complies with the scientific standards of a university of applied sciences and is characterized in particular by the range of courses consistently matched to the field of financial services, the flexible study and training organization, the application-oriented research concept and the comprehensive quality management system.
