Hochschule Esslingen

The Esslingen University is a university in Esslingen am Neckar. It houses 11 faculties with 25 undergraduate and 13 masters degrees. Engineering, business administration, social and nursing sciences are focal points of Esslingen University of Applied Sciences. Locations of the university are Esslingen am Neckar (city centre and Flandernstraße) and Göppingen.

A notable tradition at the Esslingen University of Applied Sciences is the annual Kandelmarsch, where graduates of technical courses march in tailcoat and top hat and walk through the old town of Esslingen with a ladder. In Esslingen, there is a working group of the Akaflieg with the flying technology working group Esslingen (FTAG), besides since 2006 with the racing team a project group, which participates quite successfully at the Formula Student.

The faculties of business administration, mechanical engineering, information technology as well as mechatronics and electrical engineering occupied top positions in rankings. 2011, the University of Esslingen occupied in the ranking of Wirtschaftswoche in the area colleges of 18 April 2011 in machine # 1, Industrial Engineering and Mechatronics and Electrical Engineering 2nd and Information Technology space. 4
