Hochschule Pforzheim

The University of Applied Sciences Pforzheim is one of the largest universities ("University of Applied Sciences") with more than 6,000 students, more precisely Fachhochschulen, of the state of Baden-Württemberg. The University of Applied Sciences Pforzheim offers 29 Bachelors and 17 Master's degree programs in the faculties of Design, Technology, Business and Law.

The college is one of seven statewide colleges and universities that are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.  The technical courses are accredited by the ASIIN, the business studies programs by AQAS.

The university cooperates with more than 100 partner universities. It pledged itself as one of the first worldwide to comply with the "Principles for Responsible Management Education" initiated by the UN as part of the Global Compact Initiative. Since 2012 she has been certified as a "family-friendly university".

The University of Applied Sciences Pforzheim has been ranked second in the ranking of universities of applied sciences by the Wirtschaftswoche since 2012, compared with fourth and third places in previous years. 

Pforzheim (2008) ranked fifth among the 18 assessed universities in the discipline "Study situation as a whole".
