The Hochschule Weserbergland (short: HSW) is a private university in Hameln. It is named after the Weserbergland, which surrounds Hameln.
The HSW was founded in 1989 by the regional economy as Berufsakademie Weserbergland. In 1990, she started her studies with the dual degree course Business Informatics. The second course of studies Business Administration started one year later. From initially 25 students, the former Berufsakademie increased its student numbers to more than 300 (as of August 2010).
Since August 1, 2004, the existing degree programs have been replaced by Bachelor's degree programs ( Bachelor of Science in Business Informatics / Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration ). As a result, graduates receive a bachelor's degree that conveys the same qualifications (transition to master's programs) as the bachelor's degree of a university (see Nds. BAkadG §6a para. 5).
On August 1, 2010, the state recognition as Hochschule Weserbergland took place, which started the winter semester 2010/2011 with 300 students.
In 2011, the study program was supplemented by the dual degree program in Industrial Engineering (Bachelor of Engineering) and a Master in General Management (MBA). Since September 2014, the University Weserbergland offers the training-or part-time degree course Business Administration (Bachelor of Arts).
In the dual study programs, HSW currently offers the following fields of study, which are based on the branches of the partner companies:
| Rank | GRE | GMAT | TOEFL | IELTS | Duolingo | GPA |
