Kharkiv National Pedagogical University

Kharkiv National Pedagogical University named after G.S.Skovoroda is one of the oldest pedagogical educational institutions of Ukraine. It was established in 1804 and always served as the source of Ukrainian culture. Here worked O.O.Potebnya, O.V. Pogorelov, G.P.Uspenskiy, A.M.Lapunov and other famous scientists. Now the university has 17 departments with 52 specialties. More than 600 teachers are working at more than 48 sub-faculties. The university has agreements with the following countries: China, Japan, Iran, Israel, the USA, England, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Austria, Poland, Hungary, Russia, Moldova and others. A list of departments: foreign philology, elementary education, instruction by correspondence, physics and math, physical culture, law, Russian language and world literature, Ukrainian language and literature, nature, institute of languages of the world, history, musical pedagogical, psychology and sociology, artistic-graphical, economical, postgraduate education. The university takes part in international exhibitions among prestigious institutes of higher education. All its achievements the university uses for the sole of forming the teacher of the XXI century.
