About Monash University
Monash University is an open university founded in 1958. The university is known to be the 2nd oldest university in Australia. The first Chancellor of Monash University was Robert Blackwood, who selected Louis Matheson as the Vice-Chancellor of the university. The university has a few research institutes in other countries like Italy (Prato), India (Mumbai) and China (Suzhou). Monash University has a number of departments like Department of Forensic Medicines, Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine, Department of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy.
The first and largest campus of Monash University was located in Clayton city, Melbourne. The campus houses the faculties of Engineering, Law, Arts, Business, Economics, Health Sciences and IT. A number of restaurants are located within the campus along with the famous Noting Hill Hotel. It also features accommodation for students. The other campus of the university is Caulfield Campus which is the 2nd largest campus after Clayton. One more campus located in the university is Peninsula campus which is home to numerous faculties like Physiotherapy, Occupation Therapy, and Psychology, Health Science and Nursing.
