About Muthesius Kunsthochschule
The Muthesius Academy of Arts in Kiel is the only art school in the state of Schleswig-Holstein. It is named after the architect Hermann Muthesius. It was founded in 1907 as a Werkkunstschule, became the Fachhochschule für Kunst und Gestaltung in 1994 and since 2005 it is the youngest art academy in Germany, with about 600 students and 100 employees.
Since 2005, the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Fine Arts programs have been offered for six to eight semesters. In 2009, graduation diploma (FH) for all subjects. Since winter semester 2008, the Kunsthochschule has been offering four-semester advanced courses of study with a Master of Arts or a Master of Fine Arts degree. Then there is the opportunity for a doctorate.
In addition to the fields of study, the Muthesius Academy of Arts has central facilities that offer interdisciplinary courses. In this way, interdisciplinary study becomes possible. The central facilities are:
