Mykolayiv National Agrarian University

The formation of the university began in 1984, when a branch of the Odessa Agricultural Institute was organized in Mykolayiv, in connection with the great need for specialists in agricultural production of the highest qualification: agronomists, zoinengineers, engineers, and economists. In 1991, the contingent of students was 2,232, and the teaching process provided 126 teachers (today more than 8,000 students and 427 teachers). Therefore, the question arose about the transformation of the branch of the Odessa Agricultural Institute into an independent higher educational institution and the status of the institute was received. In 1997, according to the decision of the State Accreditation Commission of Ukraine, the Institute received the highest IV accreditation level, and in 1999 the status of the Academy.

The Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of August 19, 2002, No. 1208, established the Mykolaiv State Agrarian University on the basis of the Academy.

By the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated September 21, 2012 ? 555/2012, the Mykolaiv State Agrarian University was granted the status of a national one.
