The Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Regensburg ( OTH Regensburg ) was founded in 1971 as a university for technology, economics and social affairs in Regensburg. Today OTH Regensburg is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in Germany. Eight faculties offer 25 bachelor 's degree programs, 18 master's degree programs and nine continuing education courses (four part-time bachelor's and five postgraduate master's programs). The name "Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule" is borne by an existing cooperation agreement with the Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Amberg - Weiden.
In addition, the OTH Regensburg offers a doctoral seminar that offers the possibility of students in a cooperative doctoral program the doctoral degree to achieve.
