Today's PFH was founded in 1994 under the name Private University of Applied Sciences Göttingen and has been part of the French Galileo Global Education Group since 2020. The university began operations in 1995 after state recognition. The founding president of the PFH was Wolfgang Lücke . He was followed from 1999 to 2014 by Bernt RA Sierke . The first on-site courses were Business Administration and Business Informatics. In 2006, with the conversion of the courses to Bachelor's and Master's degrees, the General Management and Business Information Systems programs followed, later the Composite Materials, Composites and Adaptronics programs, as well as Healthcare Technology and Business Informatics. Distance learning courses offered include Business Administration (Bachelor, Master, MBA), Psychology and Business Psychology (Bachelor, Master), Social Work (Bachelor), Industrial Engineering (Bachelor) and Business Law (Master).
