Philosophisch-Theologische Hochschule Vallendar

The Philosophical-Theological College in Vallendar is an ecclesiastical and state-recognized university of the Pallottines. Since the winter semester of 2006, there is also a nursing faculty.

The current rector is the philosopher Holger Zaborowski. There are contacts to the neighbouring business school WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management, the University of Koblenz and the University of Koblenz.

The PTHV building is connected to other institutes and facilities. These include a Pallottine education community , the Forum Vinzenz Pallotti , the PTHV library , the Institute for Continuing Education ( IWW ), the Ethics Institute, the Cardinal Walter Kasper Institute , the Institute for Missiology , the Institute for Intercultural and Inter-religious Encounters ( IIIB) and the Institute of Theology and History of Spiritual Communities , this is assigned as the working group Pallottine Research the Pallotti Institute.

  • the preservation and development of the Christian tradition of faith
  • Mediation of Christian values
  • the effect as an integration and communication centre
  • to give the students a solid education
