Founded in 1746, Princeton University is the 4th oldest university of higher education in the United States. It was initially known as the College of New Jersey. Later in 1896, it was renamed as Princeton University. The university was founded by Newlight Presbyterians as a motive to train ministers. In 1902, Woodrow Wilson became the 13th President of the university. Under his guidance, Princeton University introduced a system of teaching in which lectures were given by the instructors to a small group of students allowing them to interact more.
Located in New York, USA, Princeton University is a private institution with its campuses in Plainsboro and South Brunswick. The campuses are known to be the most beautiful places in New York. It is spread across 500 acres of land. The buildings in the campus are constructed in Victorian Gothic and Roman-style architecture, which was later renovated in Collegiate Gothic style, advised by William Appleton Potter. Moreover, the students experience a great living in New York City as it is famous for its liveliness and culture. In the years, 2015-2016, 2017-2018 and 2019, it has been ranked as the best undergraduate teaching university.
