About Université Clermont Auvergne-Clermont-Ferrand
The University of Clermont-Auvergne ( UCA ) is a French university located in Clermont-Ferrand in Auvergne (region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes ). It is founded on1 st January 2017by the merger of the two previous Auvergne universities, the universities of Auvergne (Clermont-I) and Blaise-Pascal (Clermont-II). She obtained the "Label I-Site" brand of excellence in 2017.
Research Activities:
The Clermont Auvergne University has 37 research units (two-thirds of which are mixed units, jointly with research organizations: CNRS, INRA, INSERM, IRSTEA), federative research structures (notably a House of Science of Research). man) and different platforms.
It also has 3 "laboratories of excellence" (LABEX), labelled under the Investing for the Future Program:
- ClerVolc (Clermont-Ferrand Center for Research on Volcanism)
- IDGM + (Initiative for Development and Global Governance)
- IMobS3 (Innovative mobility: smart and sustainable solutions)
Student Representation and Associations:
Regarding student representation, several associations are represented in the central councils of Clermont-Auvergne University: the Federation of Students of Auvergne (FedEA), member of the FAGE , is the majority structure, and coexists with other unions, such as UNEF or Student Solidarity .
In most of the UCA's components, there is also a Student Office representing one or more branches, such as BDE Bio'Hazard, BDE Eco-Droit or BDE Géologie.
