Adyghe State University

Founded in 1940, Adyghe State University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Maykop (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Adygeya Republic.

The university was founded in 1940, first as Adyghe State Pedagogical Institute. It was officially recognized as a state university in 1993.
