Higher agricultural education in Nizhny Novgorod has a long history. The path of its formation and development took place in conditions of major historical changes and bloody wars, which our country was forced to wage.
The solid foundation laid in the foundation of the Nizhny Novgorod Agrarian High School by Russian scientists of pre-revolutionary training ensured the reliability and durability of the Nizhny Novgorod Agricultural University. The professors who belonged to the progressive strata of the old Russian intelligentsia, whose main ministry was Russian service, stood at the origins of the National State Agricultural Academy.
Today NGSAA is the largest higher agricultural educational institution of the Volga Federal District. Currently, the Academy has a highly qualified teaching staff. Many of them are the organizers and leaders of scientific schools, directly ensuring the implementation of scientific developments in production.
Over the 100 years of its existence, the Academy has trained over 50,000 graduates of the agricultural sector.
